The TALK Framework is Alison Wood Brooks's 4-letter operating system for good conversation: Topics, Asking, Levity, Kindness. Her core argument is that these four compress the entire field of Conversation Science into something a human can actually hold in working memory mid-conversation. Each letter has its own research base, failure modes, and improvable tactics — and used together they cover roughly everything that separates a great conversationalist from an average one.
