Apple's personal computer line, first launched in 1984 with the Macintosh 128K. The Mac introduced a mass audience to the graphical user interface and the mouse — ideas borrowed from Xerox PARC and refined by a team that included Bill Atkinson, Susan Kare, and Joanna Hoffman. The reference product for "personal computing with taste."
