Co-founder and CEO of Plaid, which he started in 2013 with William Hockey. Perret ran the business side while Hockey built the technical infrastructure that became the default API layer between US banks and consumer fintech apps. After the Visa-Plaid deal was blocked by the DOJ in 2021, he stayed on to lead Plaid as an independent fintech unicorn; Hockey left to start Column.
