CEO OS

Consolidated Actions — March 2026

Sources: John Bosco, Varun Raj (CIO), Sathi Banerjee Date compiled: March 20, 2026

The Pattern

All three feedback responses point at the same root cause from different angles:

  • John: We don't have a marketing system, KPIs, or budget. (Execution gap)
  • Varun: The CEO is doing dev work instead of being out meeting people. (Time allocation gap)
  • Sathi: Pricing/positioning decisions happen without enough research. (Strategy rigor gap)

One sentence: The company builds exceptionally well but doesn't distribute, and the CEO's time is spent on craft instead of growth.

Actions

Immediate (This Week)

# Action Owner Source
1 Reach out to Canny deprecated free plan users. We have their org details. This is a warm lead list sitting idle. John + Karthik Kamalakannan John
2 Schedule in-person feedback session with Varun. He has more to say than he put in writing. Karthik Varun
3 Audit the FeatureOS Free plan positioning vs. Featurebase. Does it clearly articulate why we're better? If not, fix the comparison page. Karthik + Sathi Sathi

This Month

4 Create a promotion playbook. Reusable checklist for launching/promoting any feature or product. Blog, email, social, community, partnerships — one doc. John + Karthik John
5 Set up monthly marketing review. Fixed cadence. Review KPIs: signups, activation, MQL attribution by channel. First one by March 31. Karthik John
6 Allocate a quarterly marketing budget. Even small. Track ROI. Sathi previously flagged "we need to invest a lot" — start with something measurable. Karthik John
7 Delegate website/content work. Karthik should not be the one tweaking the website. That time goes to meetings, visibility, and distribution. Karthik → team Varun

Ongoing Habits

# Action Source
8 Before any pricing/positioning decision, do the comparison work. Build the argument for why each tier beats the specific alternative. No more reactive moves. Sathi
9 Turn shipped features into case studies. Every feature request we ship = ask the customer for a testimonial/case study. Systematize this. John
10 CEO time split: aim for 50%+ on distribution. Meetings, outreach, partnerships, content strategy. Not dev. Not design tweaks. Track it weekly. Varun
